Spring is a busy time for the CPO. We're planning several events for Curtis students and staff, and we could use your help! We're currently looking for:
Sixth Grade Social Coordinator
If you have a sixth grader and would like to help plan their first middle school social, please email: board@curtiscpo.org. We have materials from past socials and an experienced board, so you'll have plenty of support, but we need a point person to coordinate this event.
May Teacher Appreciation Week
We need several volunteers to help with May teacher appreciation week. If you're interested, please email Colleen Mazin, who is one of the Teacher Appreciation Week Coordinators: colleenconyngham@gmail.com

Social Media & Your Kids
1/10/2026 12:51 pm
Every spring, the CPO sponsors workshops for all Curtis students on important topics that touch their daily lives. Last year, actors/educators from Urban Improv - Rehearsal for Life led assemblies on micro-aggressions. This March, in response to feedback from Curtis families, we are sponsoring a series of discussions on digital wellness and social media. Please consider a tax-deductible donation to the CPO to help support this initiative.
Max Stossel of Social Awakening will visit Curtis for two days and give a staff/educator Q&A, three student presentations, and a live community talk for Curtis families:
A live talk with Max Stossel
How is social media shaping kids today, and what should families know?
In this engaging, research-based talk, Max Stossel of Social Awakening explains how social media is designed, why it’s so hard for kids to put down, and how it impacts mental health, behavior, and decision-making. This talk is informative, empowering, and accessible for parents, caregivers, educators, and community members. Adolescents are especially welcome to attend alongside adults. Perfect for families and adults connected to students in grades 4 through 12.
The CPO would like to thank Emerson Hospital and the Town of Sudbury, including Public Health and Parks & Recreation, for partnering with us on this initiative.
Programs like this are possible because of the generosity of the Curtis community. Please donate today so that we can continue to support cultural, creative, and educational programming at Curtis.
Please note that donation acknowledgment letters will be provided by request only. If you require a letter for tax purposes, please email a request to cpotreasurer@gmail.com.
